About the Firm

The Firm was founded in Orlando in 1998 by Geoffrey D. Ringer and Robert D. Henry, former shareholders of Maguire, Voorhis & Wells, P.A. following its merger with a large international firm. Mr. Ringer and Mr. Henry have enjoyed a successful and extensive trial practice in state and federal courts since 1982, leading to their receipt of an international rating company’s highest attorney rating and acknowledgment by their peers as reflected in their designation as two of Florida's Leading Attorneys, a distinction awarded to less than 5% of Florida lawyers.

THE PRACTICE

Ringer, Henry, Buckley & Seacord, P.A. is first and foremost a trial firm. Our attorneys have extensive trial experience in both federal and state courts, as well as in all forms of alternative dispute resolution. The firm provides service to individual, corporate and governmental clients, including leading insurers and prominent self-insured Fortune 500 companies.

The firm has represented clients in cases ranging from automobile accident litigation to complex products liability and medical malpractice claims. The practice includes the representation of health care providers, lawyers, engineers, pilots and other professionals. Members of the firm have experience with trucking related litigation, aviation regulation and claims, litigation involving the hospitality industry, and construction litigation ranging from major road work projects to the manufacture of modular homes.

The firm also has substantial experience with the representation of municipalities and governmental entities. This experience has included a variety of tort actions against public officials as well as alleged violations of Federal Constitutional rights and statutes. Representing public employees, elected officials, and municipal governments, the firm has resolved its clients' legal problems by both successful negotiation and favorable verdicts at trial.

At all stages of our representation, we seek client input on the manner in which claims should be resolved. This commitment to quality includes a willingness to meet with our clients on a regular basis, as well as internal assessments of the quality and efficiency of work provided by the firm through the use of benchmarks against which our performance can be assessed.

We are committed to hiring attorneys and staff members who demonstrate exceptional capability and commitment to quality performance. We also involve employees at all levels of the firm in our periodic assessments of the steps we can take to improve our representation. Our attorneys and paralegals keep abreast of developments within the legal field through the regular attendance at continuing legal education seminars and programs, as well as by frequently lecturing at those programs.

THE COMMITMENT TO TECHNOLOGY

Inherent in its commitment to quality, the firm is committed to employing the latest technological advances available to assist its clients. The attorneys and employees of the firm are equipped with state-of-the-art computers with network and Internet e-mail capabilities. In many instances, communications with clients are conducted exclusively by e-mail at their request, with all clients being provided the opportunity to have text and digital information transmitted by electronic means. This permits many of our clients to streamline and expedite their own internal reporting obligations by permitting our attorneys and staff to provide information to them in a format readily capable of being edited and transmitted upstream.

The firm also uses computers in other aspects of its business, including research, case management, document production and trial work. We are capable of generating many of our own trial exhibits, saving our clients the expense of outsourcing these tasks. As technology in the legal field advances, we remain committed to updating and adding to our current technology, keeping us on the cutting edge within the Central Florida legal community.

THE COMMITMENT TO INTEGRITY

Ringer, Henry, Buckley & Seacord, P.A. continues to view the legal practice as a profession and not simply a business. We do not view each legal dispute as a billing opportunity, but instead a chance to serve our clients by obtaining an optimum result with an eye toward avoiding unnecessary or inflated costs and fees.

It is our general philosophy to view our clients as members of our extended family and to handle their work and billings accordingly. In those instances in which a matter can be handled by an associate or paralegal rather than an attorney with a higher billing rate, we do so subject to the approval and consent of our clients. We avoid unnecessary pleadings, hearings, or billing for internal file management and handling, resulting in a high level of satisfaction among our existing clients.

We are interested in long term relationships with our clients, not one shot deals. We know that long term bonds must be based upon trust and integrity as much as they are on the outcome of our efforts as negotiators or trial attorneys.
